Impact of COVID-19 on Migrant Health and Labour Market Outcomes with Thor Indseth and Herbert Brücker

Duration : 01:16:26 | Date : May 06, 2021

There is increasing evidence that immigrants and their children in OECD countries paid a high price during the first year of the coronavirus pandemic. Available data suggests that they are more likely than the general population to permanently lose employment, drop out of the labour force, experience slower job recovery, and become infected and die of COVID-19. During this webinar, organised as part of the series on COVID-19 & Inequality, Thor Indseth and Herbert Brücker, illustrated the health and labour market impacts of COVID-19 on migrants, using case studies from Norway and Germany.
