Como va la vida en America Latina? Evento de lanzamiento - 28 de octubre de 2021

Duration : 02:10:12 | Date : 29/10/2021

Many Latin American countries have experienced improvements in income over recent decades, but has economic growth been mirrored in improvements across the different areas of people’s lives? The report How’s Life in Latin America? Measuring Well-being for Policy Making addresses this question by presenting comparative evidence on well-being in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) both before and after the onset of the pandemic, with a focus on 11 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay). Building on the OECD Well-being Framework, the report explores well-being measurement and policies in the region, identifies data gaps and highlights policy lessons with the ultimate goal of putting people’s well-being at the heart of government action in LAC. Watch the launch event where key findings were presented followed by a high-level panel discussion showcasing national, international and civil society perspectives. The report is part of the EU Facility on Development in Transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.
